The
Importance of Reading
I personally think that reading
is a very important activity in our life. Why do I say so? It is because of
several reasons.
First, by reading we can get a lot of
knowledge about many things in the world such as science, technology, sports,
arts, culture, and etc. We can find these things written in either books,
magazines, newspapers, or other media sources.
Secondly, by reading we can get a
lot of news and information about something happening in any parts of the world
which can we see directly.
Another reason is that reading
can give us pleasure too. When we are tired, we can read books, the newspaper
or a magazine and read such things as comedy, short stories, science fiction
and many other things, and it can be very relaxing.
Lastly, reading can also take us
to other parts of the world. By reading a book about Papua, or the Amazon, we
may feel like we are really sitting in the jungles, not at home in our rooms.
From the facts above, it’s obvious that everyone
should try to read to get knowledge, information and also have some
entertainment. In summary we can say reading is truly important in our lives.
